Refuting Christianity from the Perspective of The Torah

Introduction

For thousands of years, the Jewish people have been challenged by the theologies of foreign cultures which include the idolaters of Babylon to the strange Hindu theologies. From Polytheism to Pantheism, the Jewish theology of Judaism has been under threat. The religion of Christianity is one of the major threats to Judaism. The Christians have missionaries who seek to convert people to their faith. Some focus more on converting Jews to Christianity, and unfortunately, many of those missionaries are Jews themselves.

The entity known as the “The Church” and its plethora of denominations can trace their origin to multiple faiths. Christianity is a religion with a very debatable and controversial origin. The Christian scripture includes the entire Tanakh (Old Testament) but also includes things that are incompatible with the Tanakh. Some Christian churches even go as far as to perform idolatrous rituals and openly oppose the Jewish religion while embracing many Judaic values.

The Theology of Christianity

The word “Jesus” is the Latinization of the Hebrew root-word “Yehoshua” which has the root-word of “salvation”. The Greek word “Christos” means anointed and became the title of Jesus. For practical purposes, the term “JC” will be a reference to the specific individual that Christianity revolves around.

The theological foundation of Christianity is that they believe that Jesus, a man, born from a virgin woman, is the son of The Creator – the Omnipresent God of the Tanakh. Along with this, the Christians believe that Jesus was the anointed king of Israel who was killed and resurrected.

Some of their denominations attempt to claim that Christianity is Monotheistic through the idea of The Christian Trinity – the union of God with Jesus and “The Holy Spirit”. The Christians and Muslims both believe that Jesus is the anointed one which makes one a Unitarian – a Monotheistic Christian who denies the concept of a trinity, but only the Christians hold by the “Trinitarian” theologies. These theologies are absolutely incompatible with the Absolute Monotheism of the Torah.

Judaism does not believe in anything that contradicts Monotheism. The Omnipresent Creator is a singular entity who has no form and is not divisible [into distinct parts] in any way. God runs the world, He makes good and evil, and everything comes from Him. He has no partner or son because He does not need them because Hashem (the name) is His essence.

In the Christian belief system, the “Holy Spirit” is considered to be the essence of G-d even though we know that there is no “holy spirit” like what the Christians describe. Hashem doesn’t have His essence acting as an entity equal to Himself.

Hashem is pure, singular deity who is above existence. He is the only one above all. This concept is directly hinted in the Book of Exodus 3:14 after Moses asks what he should tell the Israelites what G-d name is. Where it says:
And God said to Moses, “I am what I am” continuing, “Thus shall you say to the Israelites, אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה sent me to you”.

The root-word of אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה is “to be” or “to exist”. Hashem is His own existence that is above our universe. As it is stated in Deuteronomy 4:35: אַתָּה֙ הׇרְאֵ֣תָ לָדַ֔עַת כִּ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה ה֣וּא הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים אֵ֥ין ע֖וֹד מִלְּבַדּֽוֹ׃ – You have intelligently demonstrated that Hashem is The G-d of Everything; there is no other.

Since Hashem is Omnipresent, there is no “room” for His essence to act as an entity. Our singular deity has no “room” for another deity including a “son” or a “holy spirit”. We know, from the Midrash that Rabbi Eliezer says: “Before the Holy One (blessed be He) created the world, He and His name existed alone” (Pirqei DeRabbi Eliezer 3:2). There was no other entity before the universe was created”

Hashem is not within the creation itself. He is only in the creation through the emanation of creation itself such as the Divine Presence – Shekhinah (שכינה).  The Trinitarians claim that the “Holy Spirit” is from the “uncreated essence” that is Co-Eternal to Hashem. However, unfortunate to the Christians that there is no biblical or authentic exegetical source for the theology of the “uncreated essence” other than Hashem Himself. Nothing is Co-Eternal to Hashem!

The doctrine of Trinitarianism is based on an idiotic attempt to distort true Monotheism. The Religion of Christianity is designed to delegitimize the Jewish theology and has a history of attempting to change the Jewish nation through various ways including theological corruption. The Church leaders perverted the meaning of Judaic scripture in order to justify their beliefs and actions. They worship a false understanding of G-d.

The Pagan Paradigm

It’s surprising how the world’s biggest “Monotheistic” religion is far from promoting Monotheism. In fact, Christianity is filled with occult concepts that are entirely based on the cultures of idolatry.

The most Pagan concept is the idea of a deity born from a Virgin. The Virgin-Deity would give birth to a new baby deity on Winter Solstice – the shortest day of the year. This is found in plenty of ancient cultures which also have folklore about deities that would be resurrected from the dead. The occult symbol of mother-nature is often depicted as a mother holding a child. This is based on the pagan relationship between the Virgin deity and the Solar deity. The “star” on the X-mas tree is a Pagan Symbol found in Northern European cultures.  The significance of the evergreen tree is rooted in the Northern European cultures of Pre-Christian times for the Celebration of the Winter Solstice. The Catholics even allowed the natives of Mexico to keep the spiritually impure ritual of “Day of The Dead”.

The etymology of the word “Vatican” is derived from the Latin word “Vates” – mouthpiece of a deity, prophet, and soothsayer. Vatic and Vaticinor are variations of this word. It can be derived further from the Proto-Indo-European word “Veht” – excited or possessed.

A New Year in January? Each culture has it’s own yearly cycle. The Chinese New Year is via the Solar-Lunar Calendar and will coincide with Shvat. According Beit Shammai, this is when the New Year of The Trees is. Now, when do the Catholics establish their New Years? January, the month dedicated to the Roman deity Janus – an idol that represented beginnings, endings, gateways, doorways, duality, and transitions. Since JC would have had his Brith Milah eight days after being born, the Christians combined claimed that JC was born 8 days before the beginning of January. And much like how the Jews have a ritual banquet after a Brith, so do the Catholics after the Church services on the First of January.

JC and The Hatred of Torah Scholars

In the words that the Christian testament, JC was a hater of the authentic tradition of Torah as passed down via talmudei ḥakhamim – Torah Scholars. JC openly despites those who partake in the tradition of pouring water/similar on one’s hands. Christianity calls our Rabbanim “sons of vipers”. There no book more hateful towards talmudei ḥakhamim than the Christian testament.

The Christian Perversion of Jewish Ideas

There is a statue of Moses on the tomb of Pope Julius II. It was sculpted by the famous Michelangelo. If you saw this statue, you would notice something peculiar – horns. The statue shows Moses as having physical horns on his head. The Hebrew word קרן can translate to the “horn”, but in context, it refers to the radiance of beaming energy. It is akin to “pride”. When a scripture says that Moses saw G-d’s presence, and his face “radiated”, but the Christian Bible translations will put “horned”, and due to the mistranslated and/or misinterpretation, many Christian people historically thought that the Jews had horns on their head. It may have been very possible that this was not a mere unintentional misinterpretation but rather an intentional mistranslation.

The oldest “Blood Libels” can be traced as far as Medieval England where English Catholics accused the English Jews of murdering a boy and using his blood for a ritual. Anyone familiar with the written scriptures of the Tanakh can claim that a Jew cannot consume blood. It is the most absurd thing for Christians, who believe in the written Bible, to under-look the Jewish commandment that states that a Jew cannot consume blood. Martin Luther, the founder of Protestantism, hated Jewish people so much that he said, “We are at fault for not slaying them”. This viciously wicked man was born in the same part of the world as Adolf Hitler. In essence, he is the spiritual ancestor of Adolf Hitler. The primary difference is that Hitler had secular motivations in his antisemitism, and some Nazi Christians had attempted to remove Jewish elements from Christianity.

Roman Emperor Hadrian put statues of Roman idols in the Land of Israel during his. This Roman Emperor also attempted to ban ritualistic male circumcision (ברית מילה). When Constantine tried to turn The Church into an official state-religion which was the dominant church (that eventually split between various sects such as the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Church). They preserved elements of Roman culture such as Saturnalia – the Roman pagan holiday that coincides with the Winter Solstice. This was a holiday affiliated with unethical behavior. Roman Catholics and Greek Orthodox Christians celebrate the date of JC’s circumcision 8 days after his birth (Luke 2:21) while opposing application of the ritual to their own followers.

Emperor Constantine created many traditions in the founding of The Church. Though, those may have been made to make it distinguishable between Judaism and Christianity. Assimilation would have been higher if there were less distinctions. Therefore, it was a necessary evil for Christianity to be different from Judaism.

The traditions that they changed includes moving the Sabbath Services to Sunday and abolishing the ברית מילה. Mainline Christianity is idolatrous due to its incorporation of images of the man to whom they worship as a deity. The kippah-passing head coverings worn by Roman Church officials are either white or red. These are 2 colors worn by the romans. Their priests are involved in the burying of the dead while in our tradition, the priests (Kohanim) do not partake in this ritual. The Roman Catholic Churches in Mexico have a saint based on a Native Mexican idol. They even incorporate elements of the idolatrous culture into their present-day Catholic culture. One of the rituals involves digging the bones of their deceased ancestors out of the ground, cleaning the bones, and then re-burying the bones. This is absolutely forbidden for a Jew to do this to his own ancestors.

The Church has a history of being antagonistic towards the Jewish people. They made it harder for the Hebrews despite worshiping that deity (but in a different way). Christianity is the only religion to accuse other people (that still exist) of killing their deity. The inferiority complex that Antisemitic Christians have is based on their inability to see and accept the flaw in their own belief system.

The story does not end there. Martin Luther founded Protestantism. The Protestants believe in an “Invisible Church” which can be harder to notice as being an enemy as the established Roman Catholic Church. Nevertheless, the Protestant Reformation is commonly seen as a protest against the Roman Catholic Church. Though, many do not realize that he wrote an antisemitic book. He initially believed that Christians should be nicer to Jews so that they may be moved to convert to Christianity. Later, he went against his previous opinion in his infamous anti-Jewish book, “On The Jews and Their Lies”, he advocated for the burning of synagogues, schools, and homes. Some cities did not want to ban Martin Luther’s books until they considered it heretical and/or when pastors in the Lutheran movement started advocating for killing Jewish people. His book claims that Christians are at fault for not slaying the Jewish people. He was born in the same part of the world that Adolf Hitler was from. He wrote another book called Vom Shem Hamphoras which said: “Here in Wittenberg, in our parish church, there is a sow carved into the stone under which lie young pigs and Jews who are sucking; behind the sow stands a rabbi who is lifting up the right leg of the sow, raises behind the sow, bows down and looks with great effort into the Talmud under the sow, as if he wanted to read and see something most difficult and exceptional.” (Page 34-35).

The Protestant ideology promoted the idea that their faith was more important than their actions. They do not value tradition. Because of this, the “Invisible Church” is one of the culprits responsible for the assimilation of many Jewish people into Western society. This is the social culture that encouraged social changes that influenced the Jews in the Protestant region. This is where the Anti-Torah movement known as “Reform Judaism” comes from. This is the same region where Marxist-Socialism and National Socialism find their origins. This is the same ethnicity responsible for murdering millions of Jewish people during the Holocaust.

The Protestants are a collection of disunified social entities that, in general, do not promote an objective morality. Every Christian denomination that opposes the sanctity of marriage are Protestants. Protestants are not moral people, and American Jews should be thankful that they can live in a somewhat decent country that so happens to be Protestant majority even though it is very immoral. We should be thankful that we are not living in a country with Protestant pogroms supported by those who idolize the evil Martin Luther.

The Fallacies of The Gospel

The non-Jewish writings called “The Gospel” are the Christian books that discuss the life of JC. They were written by four different people: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The four gospels were written after the lifetime of JC. Even some early Christian traditional sources claim that the Book of Matthew was written almost a century after the death of JC. Some of them do not even mention any sightings after the alleged “resurrection” of JC. The Book of Mark never refers to Jesus as a deity. In the Book of Matthew 28:19, it claims that people should be baptized in the names of the 3 entities mentioned in the trinity.

The Gospel makes various references to the “Pharisees” (פרושים) – the sages in of Talmudic era. They were still present in this era of history. The Gospels’ JC paints the פרושים as people who did not care about the interest of the common man. JC even goes as far as to call them “sons of vipers”. There is a common misconception that the Gospel’s JC seems to be attempting to start a revolution undermining the ethically decent leaders who care about the wellbeing of the entire Nation of Israel. You could say that JC was trying to start a movement against the leaders of Klal Yisrael. When it comes to the social partisans that separate the Jewish people and the Christians, it is rooted in their ideological opposition towards our entire society.

Some of the books in the Gospel were written by people who did not live in the time of JC. Some were written generations after his death. The stories written in the Gospel have direct contradictions. Matthew 5:17-19 states that a Jew must follow the 613 Commandments of the Written Torah, yet, some later scriptures redact and contradict this statement entirely (Galatians 3:19, Timothy 1:9-10).

The Book of Mark claimed that Judas died by hanging. Papias was a disciple of John who claimed that Judas died by being blown up. The Book of Matthew claims that Judas repented before he died. The Book of Acts claims he did not.

The Gospel has multiple direct contradictions on the topic of the birth of JC and how long he lived in the city of Bethlehem. The Gospel also has multiple opinions on the time of his death.

Even though JC is said to have promoted peace and love, he also promoted the idea of burning those who oppose him. The four different gospels do not show the same picture of how they perceived the life of JC is (with one of them doubting his miracles). The message seems to not be consistent with Christian ideas or even Jewish ideas.

The Manipulation of The Holy Language

For the Church to be able to establish its reign on the world, they needed a way to validate their king – JC. An improper Latin translation of the Tanakh claims that the Messiah (משיח) would come from a virgin. This is the most noteworthy example of an intentional mistranslation of the Hebrew word עלמה – young woman. The Hebrew word for “virgin” is בתולה. The founders of The Church had an interest in manipulating Jewish texts in order to suit their agenda yet had no way of properly legitimizing their leader.

The linguistic manipulation of both Hebrew writing is in their very ability to describe JC. The word “Jesus” is the Latinization of the Hebrew root-word (שע) as used in the name “Yehoshua” (יהושע) which is often Latinized as “Joshua”. This Hebrew root-word for “save” – savior, salvation, etc. The word “Chr istos” is the Latinization of the Greek word for “anointed”. In Hebrew, that root-word is “שח” as in the word “משיח”. Using terms like “savior” or “king” to describe JC is based on the manipulative mistranslations of the name they gave him. He is, in no way, the first person in the Bible to be named with the שע root-word nor is he our anointed one.

The texts of Christianity have been written to make the message seem more conveyable. They claim that those adjectives are who he is without being able to validate their own claims. This is akin to an archer shooting an arrow at a tree, then making the area around it like a goal in order to make the archer seem like he does not miss.

Targum: From Hebrew to Aramaic

The deceitfulness among Christian missionaries, who specifically target Jews, is very high. They make absurd claims that only make sense for those who are aware of the fallacy behind their biblical quotes.
“Dogs surround me; a pack of evil ones closes in on me, like lions [they maul] my hands and feet”.

The inaccurate Christian translation of this says “Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet”. The word for “like lions” is mistranslated as “they pierce”. The Christians intentionally created this mistranslation as a way to promote their corrupted theology.

Targum Onkelos and Targum Yonathan are the official Aramaic translations of the Jewish bible which is recognized by all Jews. Onkelos renders the word כָּאֲרִי  as “כְּאַרְיָא” which is the Aramaic variant of the Hebrew root-word for “Lion”.

And if a missionary was to dispute the claim that “בתולה” means “virgin”, they might try to enforce the claim that “עַלמָה” translates virgin. The stupidity of the Christain missionaries are convinced that this is the translation of the term. They may us Isaiah 7:14 claims that that the Mashiach comes from a virgin,
but with the help of Targum Yonatan, we are able to disprove this. In its original text, Isaiah 7:14 says:   לָ֠כֵן יִתֵּ֨ן אֲדֹנָ֥י ה֛וּא לָכֶ֖ם א֑וֹת הִנֵּ֣ה הָֽעַלְמָ֗ה הָרָה֙ וְיֹלֶ֣דֶת בֵּ֔ן וְקָרָ֥את שְׁמ֖וֹ עִמָּ֥נוּ אֵֽל:
“Therefore, the Lord, of His own, shall give you a sign; behold, the young woman is with child, and she shall bear a son, and she shall call his name Immanuel.”.

Targum Yonatan says:

The most compelling way to linguistically disprove the Christian theology is to give absolute evidence that עלמה and בתולה could never be understood to be the same word even as synonyms.  In Genesis 34:3, it says: וַיַּ֨רְא אֹתָ֜הּ שְׁכֶ֧ם בֶּן־חֲמ֛וֹר הַֽחִוִּ֖י נְשִׂ֣יא הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיִּקַּ֥ח אֹתָ֛הּ וַיִּשְׁכַּ֥ב אֹתָ֖הּ וַיְעַנֶּֽהָ
“And Shechem the son of Hamor, the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her, and he took her, lay with her, and violated her.”.  The next verse says:  וַתִּדְבַּ֣ק נַפְשֹׁ֔ו בְּדִינָ֖ה  בַּֽת־יַעֲקֹ֑ב וַיֶּֽאֱהַב֙ אֶת־הַֽנַּעֲרָ֔  וַיְדַבֵּ֖ר עַל־לֵ֥ב הַֽנַּעֲרָֽ
And his soul cleaved to Dinah the daughter of Jacob; he loved the girl and spoke to the girl’s heart.””
The word “נערה” refers to a girl who is not old enough to be married.
Targum Onkelos says:

There are even disputed claims on the Christian theology since some passages will attempt to claim or negate the belief in the trinity. Unitarians view him as being the משיח. They do not attribute a divine status to him. For someone to believe in the idea of JC having a divine status, one would have to abandon Absolute Monotheism. A devout Monotheist believes that God is not corporeal – physical.

The idea of the Christian Trinity is essentially a theological partnership (שיתוף) with Hashem. Trinitarianism is a perverted form of עבודה זרה. Itis worse than your typical עבודה זרהbecause it involves cheating on Hashem. Rabbi Tovia Singer claims that it is akin to זנות – adultery. A Jew that chooses to bow to this — is cheating on our Creator. The Jewish people have a direct relationship to G-d and do not need a partner, a bridge, or a third party to bring ourselves closer to His presence.

If Christians said that they are monotheistic, then how are they different from Hindus? When the Jewish nation was established the belief in the Almighty began to revive itself. This faith spread across the civilized world, and in the process, it took on different forms. Hinduism is polytheistic religion with over thirty-three million deities. The Hindu Indians took their idolatry (which was already a collection of various pre-existing idolatrous cultures) and molded their idolatry together with the concept of all-powerful deity into their pantheon, and all Christians consider this polytheism despite their own faith also being polytheistic. So how are thirty-three million deities merged into one pantheon any different than a religion with just three?

Now what about the nature of the claim. The ideas of Buddha and Muhammad are claims based on individuals and not a collection of people, so it should be obvious that the essence of their faith is invalid. The claims of the Gospel are stories claimed by just four people. In none of these cases, does the nature of an individual or small group revelation solidify a claim. The Splitting of The Sea and Giving of The Torah on Mount Sinai was a national revelation. It was not witnessed by a single individual or small group of individuals but by an entire nation of hundreds of thousands of people. Christianity is a polytheistic religion that took the concept עבודה זרה. They masked it with Monotheistic elements which they took from Judaism while being hypocritically Judaism.

The final quote to bring is from Deuteronomy 4:15-19:

“You saw no form of any kind the day Hashem spoke to you at חֹרֵב out of the fire. Therefore, watch yourselves very carefully so that you do not become corrupt and make for yourselves an idol, an image of any shape, whether formed like a man or a woman, or like any animal on earth or any bird that flies in the air, or like any creature that moves along the ground or any fish in the waters below. And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars–all the heavenly array–do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things HASHEM your G-d has apportioned to all the nations under heaven.”
