Your Soul is a Spark From G-d
Life – the attraction of subatomic particles within atoms causes multiple atoms to bond together creating molecules which eventually come together to create the chemical compounds that give us DNA – the chain of protein sequences that give us the codes for building organic cells; the physical body and its variety of cells. – skin, eye, blood, brain, etc. all act with their own unique purpose that serves the greater body.
A breath of air in our lungs gives oxygen to the blood cells which transport this newly acquired oxygen to the rest of the body.
Our lungs can take oxygen molecules and turn them into carbon dioxide that is exhaled from the body. Plants benefit from our exhales. They also supply us with the oxygen we need to survive.
Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Carbon. These chemicals and molecules in our physical body are the same as the Earth itself. Man’s physical essence is literally from Adam (אדם) – the ground.
Everything in our carefully crafted world is sustained by the Omnipotent, Omniscient Narrator of Reality. Hashem is Hebrew for The Name as a reference to the holy name of G-d.
Hashem is the essence of existence. The ineffable Holy Name of G-d is a conjugation of the Hebrew word for “to be” but in the constant conjugation. Meaning: G-d is constantly being. Hashem is continuously involved with the universe.
The manifestation of the spiritual energy of Hashem began, in what Jewish tradition calls Tzimtzum (reduction), was the first step in the creation of reality. The Omnipotent, Omniscient One allowed for his Infinity to not be in a certain place. Thus, through Tzimtzum, a certain place would become empty. This is described via the two-letter name of God (אל). The same word, when the vowel (tzeire) is replaced with a patakh, means “do not”. This hints Hashem has both the ability to do anything He wills but also that he can withdraw. Hashem can cause things to happen or not to happen. This Holy name hints to the idea that Hashem can cause His perceived relevance to appear reduced from the reality which He ultimately controls.
All of our souls are holy sparks that come from His Godliness. The divine mission of mankind is to elevate these sparks – bringing the finite back to infinity.
The Mitzvot in the Torah elevate our finite reality. When we bless or sanctify something, we are igniting the spark within it. Thus, we are returning it to The Creator.
