Elements of The Soul

Each soul has its characteristics which can be described from our tradition via the story of the creation of man.

When Hashem created Adam, he gathered the four elements (Fire, Earth, Air, and Water) together to create Adam. The people, in our world, have a blend of these elements which tends to not be distributed proportionally and evenly like Adam. Instead, you have people who are in-tune more with one element than another. For example, some people have a personality that leads more towards the element of fire while some might be the mixture of fire and water. The general structure of one’s journey relates to their element in regards to how they will achieve what his or her soul was put on this world for.

Fire and Air are two elements that are compatible with each other because they can both move upward unlike Water and Earth which are compatible with each other because they would naturally fall downwards. This is represented by the Era of Mashiakh, coinciding with the Age of Dli – an Air sign where there will be an advancement of consciousness allowing people to understand the esoteric, divine nature of our Monotheistic reality. The journey of Fire and Air involves being less grounded in what someone was brought into thus allowing them to expand beyond their horizons. That is what allows them to create the growth needed to bring us closer to the Era of Mashiakh.

On the other hand, you have the journey of Water and Earth which, in this case of Earth, is more grounded in their reality. In the case of Water, their adaptability is within their self-contained form. Because water is uncomfortable with the drastic change needed for the coming of Mashiakh, it would be difficult if the dominant figures, of such a movement, could be someone who was born in a Water sign because such a person wouldn’t be able to handle the great change of that era. In fact, we are currently leaving the Age of Dag which represents a strong Water sign.

According to Neil Mann, the Age of Dag started closer to the beginning of the common era which includes the destruction of the Temple, yearning for the redemption, and the rise of Noztrut – a theology that chooses to contain and adapt the different theologies, of its time, without the ability to advance in our awareness of reality.

The Notzrim worship a man was born in an Earth sign. This represents a preservation of the current level of consciousness. That’s why the followers of that man are willing to rationalize the concept of a shittuf as opposed to being willing advance beyond a spiritual partnership with a physical being. The Mashiakh can not be someone who lacks change (like a rock).

According to our tradition, the Mashiakh will be someone from the Fire sign. The people of this element are represented by their sincere passion for their interests as well as having a bold, dynamic personality. This passionate leader will lead us to the era of the redemption and the global elevation of consciousness needed to understand the Torah.

Each astrological age lasts for a little over two thousand years with the Age of Dli takes place closer to the start of the Seventh Millennium of the Hebrew calender. We are seeing the unfolding of the things needed to bring about Mashiakh Tzidkeinu, and IY”H, we will merit to greet him in our lifetime.
