Chametz vs Matzah

The significance of keeping “Kosher for Passover” is that we Jews are abstaining from ḥametz (חָמֵץ) – leavened products. Thus, we are demonstrating, to Hashem and to the world, that our entire nation is a witness to the miracles in the land of Egypt (Mitzrayim) as well as the divine exodus from there. This is told over in The Haggadah (הַגָּדָה) – story of Passover.

The word חָמֵץ refers to leavened products such as normal bread. Normal bread rises anyway. There’s nothing special about that, but can bread stay flat? If it is baked quickly, it can…On another note, does water turn into blood? And can the sea split? Well, under normal circumstances, these things can not, but Hashem did caused such to things as miracles. Hashem took us out of Mitzrayim which would have otherwise been impossible, and that’s what makes the הַגָּדָה of Passover so special. This הַגָּדָה is the most intense story of showing how Hashem runs the world via a direct channel of influence. Purim, on the other hand, shows the influence of Hashem via the less visible channels.
