Parshat Vayishlach: Different Camps

When Yaakov went to meet Eisav after not seeing him for years, due to the rage of Eisav, Yaakov had his children divided into different camps because if one was to Khas VeShalom be destroyed, there could at least be another one.

Hashem gives us different derakhim (directions) in life. These are the different pathways for living good lives and getting closer to His oneness. The practical understanding of this is the following: in our personal lives, we try to set up a Plan B incase Plan A doesn’t work out the way we want it to.
