Kuzari: The Empirical Belief in Rabbinic Judaism
Kuzari: The Empirical Belief in Rabbinic Judaism
Written by Mar Yosef and edited by Barukh ben Miroslav.
1. The Jews believe that they’ve numbered in the millions in every generation back to Sinai.
2. This belief cannot be accepted by any nation of people if it is false, as such a claim should have left behind an insurmountable national record or national memory that would be easily accessible to and already widely known among that nation perpetually.
3. If this is not the case, there should be many false examples of this category of testimony/tradition in the empirical record (I. E. In the present record of human testimony).
4. There are no empirical counter examples to this category of human testimony/tradition.
5. This belief could not have been made up or originated in the generations after the generation that stood at Sinai.
6. In every generation since the generation of Sinai, the Jews have attested that they have always numbered in the millions to everyone of the millions of people in the generation after them.
